There is a dot on the back of the cam gear, it needs to line up with the edge of the valve cover. There is a 0 mark on the flywheel, view it through the hole in the bellhousing. And the rotor inside the distributor must line up with the mark on the distributor housing.

How to time a Ford 7500 turbo backhoe

Timing a Ford 7500 turbo backhoe involves adjusting the timing of the engine's fuel injection pump. Here are the general steps to time a Ford 7500 turbo backhoe:
  1. Locate the timing marks: Look for the timing marks on the engine's flywheel and the timing cover.
  2. Clean the timing marks: Clean the timing marks to ensure they are visible and easy to read.
  3. Rotate the engine: Rotate the engine in the direction of normal rotation until the timing mark on the flywheel lines up with the pointer on the timing cover. This indicates that the engine is at Top Dead Center (TDC) on cylinder number one.
  4. Remove the fuel injection pump: Remove the fuel injection pump from the engine.
  5. Adjust the timing: Rotate the fuel injection pump until the timing marks on the pump housing line up with the timing marks on the engine. The exact timing specifications may vary depending on the engine and fuel injection pump model.
  6. Reinstall the fuel injection pump: Reinstall the fuel injection pump and secure it in place.
  7. Verify the timing: Rotate the engine again to make sure the timing marks still align correctly.
  8. Test the engine: Start the engine and test it to ensure that it runs smoothly and efficiently.
It's important to follow the specific procedures and timing specifications provided in the engine's manual or by a qualified mechanic. If you're unsure about timing your Ford 7500 turbo backhoe, it's recommended to consult with a professional mechanic or technician.

On my audi 500 1991 turbo automatic changed the oil pump and if mark is lined up does not start has been changed to a caburator what can be wrong

Not sure what the oil pump and carb have to do with eachother, the oil pump is usually driven by the distributer drive so may be the timing is off, recheck the distributer timing and go from there

Where to find timing mark on crank pulley transit 2,5 diesel non turbo 99

easy keyway pointing to the top of the engine ,i think their may be marks on the flywheel on the later york engine as their was marks on them at the front of the engine when i worked on the assembly line in 1970 .cant remember the pump timing as the older engines had a inline pump on them and their was a plug at the back of the pump housing that had to line up with a dot on the back of the gearwheel ,long before your time this though ,but the pump timing was about 12? if i remember rightly for an indirect engine and 18 for the dorset engine and 22? for the dorset turbo (Ford D series)Watch when you turn engine over in case you hit the valves ,make sure pistons down a bit then line head timing up then bring the pistons up to TDC

My friend pulled all the plug wires off of my 1989 MX6 gt turbo and i cant figure out how they go can you help?

Nice friend. If you can figure out which terminal on the distributor is for #1 (cylinder at front of engine), this diagram from AutoZone.com should work for you. Look for a #1 mark on the distributor.
