How do you bypass the low pressure switch for the AC compressor on a 2003 dodge grand caravan?
I have vacummed the sydtem but the compressor will not kick on to add 134a to the system.
You should be adding the 134a to the system the low pressure switch is doing its job by not allowing the compressor to kick on, it wont kick on until there is enough 134a in the system to be above the preset pressure for the low pressure switch.
If compressor is locked it will not turn u would have to replace. U sure it is working?
No, if it locks completely won't turn at all. Trying to bypass there 1 power and 1 gound u need ohm meter to test which is which i would just test not recommended to keep like that. Since u mess correctly and vacuumed the system, u must have changed the ofrice tube, which is like a filter and can be clogged.

If the compessor was locked it would break the serpintine belt would it not?
I vacuumed it, added 1- 3 ounce can of PAG 46( which is a 2 ounce charge of oil with 1 ounce of refrigerant) which this system calls for,, when I added the 3 ounce can of PAG the low side guage jumped to 90.
I can hear the compressor clutch come on when I leave it running with all the guages and the refrigerant bottle hooked to the yellow hose, I turn it off then then turn it on and hear the clutch come on but it sucks no refrigerant, left it running for 30 minutes and the guage said 90lbs. Unhooked the can tap, unhooked the guage set. put it back on and started the van, and got no pressure. When I hooked up the can tap i got the can pressure. No refrigerant is entering the system. When I pulled the vacuum using low and high side guage could the low side hose have been blocked by a contaminent?
When I hook only the low side hose up I stay at zero with the valve open until I attach the can of 134A then it jumps to 90.
Is it only reading the can pressure?
