You need to take the car in and have the engine computer control module scanned for the fault code(s) that was recorded in memory when the engine stalled and the warning light came on, that is the first step to repair the problem.

I was driving along just fine then I lost engine power. The engine will turn over and start for 1-3 seconds then cut off. It definitely has fuel, and good fuel pressure. Why will it not stay running.

Did u test the pressure. Turnkey off n on 3 times..on 4 try startn it..it shud stay runnin if pump is good. May also hav a dirty filter. But whats probly occurin is residual pressure is bad cause it keeps leakn back to pump from a bad checvalve. This keytrick gets enuf in there

you must get a scanner to find out what codes you have , the ck engine light is always a emission problem could be a 02 sensor or something else this is the most common but get it ck to make sure do not ever just change parts ,

Your vehicle explained it all to you. Take the vehicle in for maintenance. Your car is cutting engine power until your problem is repaired.

Lost power to turn sig airbag light and heater control.I pluged trailer lightes in to my tow package

The trailer might have a bad ground. My camper does the same thing to my truck. Try directly connecting the trailer ground to the frame of your vehicle. This might solve the problem as it did for me.

Engine stalled restarted but engine light stayed

Have the vehicle scanned for codes and do the repairs that the codes describe. There are too many variables to make a guess as to why the lite went on.
I understand Autozone does free scanning.

Service lite goes on but the car runs fine. When i turn off the car and restart it the service lite stays off

It will start but cut off in 10 sec and it sounds like junk when you are turing it over. it runs fine when it sterts but it just cuts out. do you know what the problem is.

Sounds to me like your timing chain may jumped time.

Engine died while driving..

Hello Friend,
Pull out the spark pugs so, there is no longer compression. Put a wrench on the crankshaft pully. The engine will turn and the pistons will travel up and down. This is of course it the engine hasn't seized. If the engine turns its the starter. Simple.

You will need an OBD (onboard diagnostics) handset to read and or reset the codes. It would be good to know why the lamp came on to aviod and break downs possible in your future. They are available in any automotive store or even the auto section of many major Dept. stores. they generally include a code book or sheet to decode the reason for the light coming on. you may not be able to reset the light with out resolving the issue causing it to come on.
