2008 Arcadia 126000 on miles. The car shuts off when stopping at red lights. Will recrank if given a few moments but have to turn ac off ect. Dealer n plenty certified mechanic can find problem. Car will not do it at mechanic shop it only does it when drivin and warmed up. I did replace battery but the car acts like it isn't getting enough "power" to keep running when at a stop. It will do it 4-5 times in one day skip a day. It will do it only 1-2 times nothing consisant but very dangerous. No lights on dash are displaying n dealer says everything is running as it should be. Please help

check for vacuum leaks at the brake booster as it stops at lights and is random it may be occurring when you have your foot on the brakes and that is allowing a lean mixture to stop the engine. The engine will idle fine and run ok but it won't idle if there is a leak in the brake booster system.

it sounds like ecu is sending wrong signals these new cars are entirely ran off of computers one minor glitch and it screws everything up, but in turn there is million different possibilitys I would take it to oreilys or autozone they offer FREE hookup and will check and see what codes it reading get that information and i could help you alot more miss

if nothing happens when you turn the key the problem is most likely the ignition switch and housing(had mine replaced 3 times already. firstr time at 12,000 miles) what you can try is hit key with rubber mallet while trying to turn but this would only be to get it started so you can drive to a chevy dealer(dont waste your time at any old repair shop for this). Hope this helps.

The alternator is the most likely source of your problem.

Check for AC ripple current with meter or just bring it to a shop.

You should get the alternator check out before causing damage to the computer/ECU and transmission comoputer/TCU.

check the glow plug system

does itsputter or cough when trying to start? you have me leaning towards timing belt/chain. but if it doesnt sputter there are so meny things it could be at this point< here are a few questions to help us narrow it down, 1 does it sputter or cough when trying to start? 2. do the lights and gauges apper functional, 3 have you checked the fuses and relays under the hood and under the dash? 4 have you wiggled the ignition? i have a chev truck tha every once in a while it needs to be given a swift palm hit right under the ignition,(i checked and know the wiring to my ignition has com loose and still does every once in awhile)

Grating sound: Coat liberally with WD-40 or equivalent, or any "spray grease".

Clock: Is it in the dash or part of the radio (there were multiple clocks in the CR-V). If it is the little dash clock, you may have a hard time finding an exact replacement except though your honda dealer, costing considerable $$$

look in side the panels in the rear of the car, on the inside next to the tell lights, there should be a red button on a switch, push the button and turn the key on if you dont hear anything then your pump is bad or the wiring to the pump went bad, known to rought on the plug
