On the throttle body. the gas pedal cable from inside the car leads under the hood on drivers side to the throttle body. throttle body is attached to the intake.
*****you should not have to adjust your idle. itusually means that there is a bad sensor if your idle has changed suddenly,****
what exactly is the car doing? ex.fluctuating rpms?, low constant idle?, high idle?

Can you adjust idle speed 2004 Nissan sentra 1.8L

If it too low perform a induction flush to remove carbon build-up. Find a shop that uses BG products as they are the best. Also the base idle will need reseting after.

Replaced the idle air control valve on 96 nissan sentra is there a way to reset. stalls out at stop signs unless i keep foot on gas pedal.

right where you rpelaced it on the top and a little towards the pass side there should be a small picec of plasyic covering up the screw to adjust the idle up some. I hope that helps.

95 nissan sentra 1.6L, air fuel mixture adjustment. If adjustment screw is turned completely in how many turns out to proper setting?

1.5 turns for most carbs, but you can use a vacuum gage on the intake to get it right. Make sure engine is warm and on the regular idle screw, then turn the mixture screw in and then turn out until vacuum stops rising. OK?

Give me some tips in adjusting the timing without

If the idle adjustment screw has NOT been touched or adjusted, turn the distributor slightly in either a counter clock wise or clockwise rotation until the recommended idle RPM is reached. This should get you within the ball park. The only correct way to set the timing for optimum engine performance is to use a timing light.

Does not idle when hot

Is it a 2002 or 1989????

If you have a carb then it's the choke is stuck in the on position and it's running too rich. If it's fuel injected then it may be a bad idle air control valve.

When starts idle to high?

Starts in high idle for the engine to warm up. When adjusting the throttle for idle speed, there is a screw for the high idle speed. Would not mess around with it if you don't know exactly what you're doing. The balance between the fuel and air mixture can easily go wrong.

Nissan ga15 engine idle adjustment locations

The idle speed is computer controled, it is not adjustable, you most likely have sludge in the throttle valve and the idle speed control air bypass valve, clean them with carb spray with the engine running.
