SOURCE: Major Power Problem with 03 Mountaineer Premier
Have the battery tested, perhaps the alternator also. I had the same problem on my 2005 Taurus ( also a Ford / Mercury product ). I replaced the alternator easy enough, and a full charge on the battery solved the problem. The vehicles are designed to shut down unnecessary or non-vital accessories first, as to prevent a major shutdown on the road. So your lights and signals will still work, but the rest of the electrical will power down to conserve the battery.
You can get the battery tested at most service stations or you can buy a tester at any auto parts store. Some of them will test it for free.
Hope this helps.

There may be a relay or perhaps a switch to replace in the panel that houses the window switches on the driver's door. That panel comes off by prying it up from around the switches. You will see all the wires and perhaps the relay to replace when you pull it away from the door itself. The switches should simply unplug and you can replace whatever looks burned out.
SOURCE: power windows went out
The power window system operates under the control of the accessory delay relay. For early build vehicles, the GEM will energize the relay to provide power to the power window system. For late build vehicles, the ICM(instrument cluster module) will energize the relay to provide power to the power window system.
Now it does not state the build date cut off in shop manual. So if it is an early build Fuse No.6(60amp) in Battery junction box feeds a circuit breaker that mounts under the hood on the fender apron at the firewall on driver's side(wire colors will be BK/WH and YE/LG).Then it feeds the switch side of the accessory delay relay in the Central junction box. Fuse 17(15amp) in the central junction box feeds the switch side of this relay.
The late build system is the same except instead of the circuit breaker on the left fender apron it uses fuse no. 47(30amp) in the battery junction box.
Now you can go to this website and pick owner guide on left task bar, input your vehicle info and pick get owner guide. Then pick the 6th owner guide printing and go to page 210 for the accessory delay relay location. You will see all the fuse information starts on page 207 thur 216.

The power windows do not use a fuse rather its hooked to a automatic reset circuit breaker, this is so it would reset after a fault, the first place to look which is the most common reason for all windows to stop working at once, open the driver door and look in the center of the door in the location of the hinges, you will see a rubber type boot that contains the wiring for the drivers door controls. you will need to slide boot back and check each wire, you will find a broken wire or two. this happens from opening and closing of the door and is common. good day.

The circuits get their power from the BATTERY SAVER RELAY (K115) which feeds the ACCESSORY RELAY (K65) which feeds ONE TOUCH WINDOW RELAY (K50) and all the the other power window circuits.
Central Junction Box (CJB).Check power to fuse F26 and F10.

The fuse 26 and 10 located in the CJB.

The common problem for no power at all windows is broken wires in the door jamb on the drivers door. The flexible conduit the runs between the driver door and the body where the wires run through the door jamb to the door the wires break. Check for power at the driver master window switch wire at the window switch panel. If no power, pull the rubber conduit back and check the same wire in the door jamb for broken wires. This wire feeds the drivers power window switch panel, which is called the master window switch panel, then it feeds power to all the other switches on the other doors. We see allot of the wires getting broken from opening and closing the drivers door over time.
----------------
But if wires checked ok, then its problem with module.-----
The GEM module which is bolted to the dash fuse box. It controls these relays to work the power window circuit. This can be tested with a scan tool that can communicate with the GEM module.
---------
If all checked ok, then this module needs to be replaced.---------
This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.
Window fuse's and relay's may be up under driver or passenger side dash or behind glove box, under the hood and even under the seats, and finally on the ends of the dash. All passenger power windows and locks are controlled thru and get power from the master control switch on the drivers door.
Drivers door gets used the most so it could be the switch, relay or fuse.
Could also be a broken wire in the rubber boot going from the door to the body. You will have to eliminate each till you find the culprit. Check that all switches return to neutral when released.
You may also find that the connector has simply come loose from the master window control. Good luck!!
If gear selector activates door locks when moved out of park, the switch for that is bad or needs adjusting. It may also be the body control module.
