I could be the CKP (crank sensor), but it could also be several other factors including the TPS. The correct way to start a diagnosis would be to see if any trouble codes are stored in memory. I'm assuming all basic ignition components are ok ; spark plugs, etc.

My 4.0 grand cherokee laredo is not getting any crank at all any other suggestions before getting the crank sensor diagnosed? I have replaced the ignition coil pack and spark plugs. plus I got no scan...

it's not turning over at all? that's battery or starter issue.

or do you mean it's turning over but engine wont start?

turn key to ON position and listen for a fuel pump, if you don't hear anything it could be that.

No power from coil

Cam shaft position sensor, if no, replace crank shaft again, some sensors are faulty brand new... Paper doesn't wear off sensor correctly.

96 T100 (3.4), will only run for 2-3 seconds then quit, change fuel filter, pump, cam sensor and crank sensor still won't run, but will run on ether. Where to go next?

What you are telling me is the engine is firing the plugs but not getting fuel.
When you changed the fuel pump and filter, did you check the fuel pressure at the rail ?
Are the injectors getting power and ground pulse ??

My jeep will cranks but won't fire. Have changed distributor cap and rotor, plugs and coil but still won't fire.

Try checking your cam sensor and crank sensor. You can test them with a voltage meter. Many times, the sensors will go before anything else. It may be your distributor itself. Test it as well. If you have a question, please let me know. I am here to help. Thanks for using FixYa. Have a good evening.

96 jeep cherokee 4.0 has no spark po320 shows could the cam sensor cause it to have no spark

Cam sensor, crank sensor, bad coil, all could give no spark. Check all fuses and relays.... wiring connections as well. 320 is a crank sensor code.

Jeep gets gas but wont start

Check fuses in power distribution center and any labeled pcm, ecm etc under dash. Make sure any relays are functioning (power in power out) Check crank sensor and cam sensor as well as ignition control module (if you have one, it's next to the coil). Most of this stuff can be tested with a decent volt/ohm meter (instructions for testing can be found in most half decent manuals). I'm assuming a 4.0 engine but suggestions apply to just about any system. Make sure battery is fully charged and engine and body have good clean ground connections. If you have a scan tool available, do scan before other testing. (i'd swear I answered this one already!!!)
