Howto disengage seat belt alarm on a 1988 c1500

It will be a square one about 25

This will control the alarm module and also the gear shift alarm and seat belts

If the car uses a key fob its beeping because the key is still inside the vehicle.

The weight sensor in the seat is bad if this is the passenger seat. When you connect the seat belt, the sensor is disabled.

If you replace the restraint control module, I don't know if that will fix it? You can see your instrument cluster is also involved.

make sure that you fasten you seat belts including passengers

anything can be done if you have enough money and time. personally i think it's not going to be worth it.

It might be the seat belt receptacle.

try relapsing the switch inside the female of the seat belt

Is this a NEW seat belt?  Or a junkyard part... Per the Toyota 1988 Repair Manual - the belt is allowed to be pulled out at a tile of 15 degrees or less; and cannot be pulled out at over 45 degrees of tilt.

Your problem is the belt is not retracting.  The manual states to replace the assembly.  It also states: "Whenver installing a new belt assembly, verify proper operation before installation."

If a new part does not have proper operation; have it replaced. If this is a 'used'  new part - get a NEW seat belt.
