Why my choke doesn't deactivate on 1985 Mazda rx7

you could have either a bad water temp sensor or bad choke switch.

On the RX7 it will most likely be a fuse. If you do not have a service manual refer to automd.com and search for the basic guide on replacing a fuse. Should you need specifications, head over to your local auto parts dealer for a book outlining the specifics on your fuse box or module.

Your carberater is having problems getting the correct amount of fuel.Either a line or fuel filter is clogged or you need to have your carb. rebuilt.

the indicator light wont but being low on coolant will cause it to overheat which WILL affect the operation of your 1985 rx7

There is a throtle adjuster right behind the carb. You can adjust it with a screw driver. If you are not sure where it is, just have someone press to gas pedal and you will see it move. RPM's at idle should be around 1,000 when it is idle once it has warmed up. Once that car warms up the choke moves back in and the car is probably stalling because it is not running enough RPM's.

A large rubber hose feeds air to the large block with "RE-EGI" cast into it. Between that intake hose and the RE-EGI block, called the dynamic chamber, is the throttle valve. You can adjust the idle speed by adjusting a screw in the top of the throttle valve to 800 rpm.

If your picture of your car is correct, you have a 1st generation rx7.. Parts are becoming scarce but I may have what you are looking for...

Mate.I did my time with mazda.They will fit.If the are different it will only be the ratios and being the next model up,they will be better.Hope this helps
