Had a guy tell me it was either an o2 sensor or the MAF sensor, or a vacuum leak it would cost about a hundred dollars or so to diagnose. (Same guy that inspected the car about a week before the engine light came on). I figured if it was a vacuum leak, I might be able to find it myself... I did. SOMEONE had loosened the evap test port in the rear-passenger side of the engine compartment. Not going back there.

Have 4 codes P0306 P1181 P0141 P0136 is there easy fix? Also vibration at high speeds and passenger aide in front sounds like humming any ideas 2000 Volvo S80 2.9 Non turbo

There is no "easy fix" as only 2 of the 4 codes are for the same thing...for the P0136 and P0141, its probably a bad Bank 1 sensor 2 oxygen sensor..the P0306 means cylinder 6 is misfiring (it could be bad spark plug, bad coil, bad injector, carbon on valves, low compression) and P1181 is showing a fuel delivery issue high pressure...as for the vibration, have all tires checked for balance and hum on passenger side is possibly a bad wheel bearing...and and all is best to have checked by your mechanic.

How can i self diagnose my 1998 mitsubishi chariot grandis 2.4gdi is there a plug in the car that i can bridge to get codes on the dash

Yes, there is a diagnostic connector in your 1998 Mitsubishi Chariot Grandis 2.4Gdi that you can use to get codes on the dash. The diagnostic connector is located under the dashboard, on the driver's side. To access the diagnostic connector, you will need to remove the fuse box cover. Once you have access to the diagnostic connector, you will need to use a diagnostic tool to read the codes. A diagnostic tool is a device that can be used to communicate with the vehicle's computer. There are many different diagnostic tools available, both professional and DIY. To use a diagnostic tool, you will need to connect the tool to the diagnostic connector. Once the tool is connected, you will need to select the option to read codes. The tool will then display the codes on its screen. The codes will be a series of numbers and letters. Each code will represent a different problem with the vehicle. You can use the code book that came with your vehicle to look up the meaning of the codes. Once you know the meaning of the codes, you can start to troubleshoot the problem. If you are not comfortable troubleshooting the problem yourself, you can take the vehicle to a qualified mechanic for diagnosis and repair. Here are the steps on how to self-diagnose your 1998 Mitsubishi Chariot Grandis 2.4Gdi using the diagnostic connector: Locate the diagnostic connector under the dashboard, on the driver's side. Remove the fuse box cover. Connect the diagnostic tool to the diagnostic connector. Select the option to read codes. The tool will display the codes on its screen. Look up the meaning of the codes in the code book that came with your vehicle. Start to troubleshoot the problem based on the meaning of the codes. If you are not comfortable troubleshooting the problem yourself, take the vehicle to a qualified mechanic for diagnosis and repair.
