1998 Jeep Cherokee - Cranks, but "No Start" condition

My 98 Cherokee will not start. Was running okay when I pulled into the driveway. The next day, cranks, but will not start. (I have many years of experience tinkering with automobiles). The fuel gauge and voltmeter on the instrument cluster also do not operate. Not getting power to the fuel pump, and also don't appear to have spark at the plugs. All fuses good, and ignition switch also tested okay. Removed instrument cluster to check for loose connections. No prpblem found here either. I am getting power to the fuel pump relay with the ign on, but don't hear relays "click" as usual. Any ideas? Suspecting PCM. How can I check??

Small tube attached to the bottom of the firewall in my 98 cherokee leaks a small puddle in the driveway when I start the car. Any clues?

this is the water condenstaion drain for the Air conditioning system, so the water is normal, what is bad is when it doesn't drain.

1998 Jeep Cherokee cranks but will not start

Mine did the same thing, I also replaced the crank sensor and it did not solve my problem. I replaced the fuel pump relay and it ran fine ever since. Try that, it's a cheap item, and easy install.

If the crank sensor (reaR at bellhousing) is dirty, will not start, clean up and visually inspect

First run a code check, see what you find. Second, you can do individual component testing with a decent volt/ohmeter to pinpoint problem. (instructions for tests in any decent manual)
Just off-hand, most common failure with similar symptoms to yours is crank position sensor.

93 Jeep Grand Cherokee Won't start

The crankshaft position sensor was seriously problematic in those old jeeps. It's located towards the top of the bell housing slightly to the driver's side I think.

No spark/wont start

i have a 98 and it has a distributor but it could be a fuel issue more than a spark if you have a fuel pressure gauge and check it.should be above 30 psi to me it sounds like a fuel pump thats bad
