I can drive my car for 15mins. max& it will shut off I have to wait 45mins. before it will start...it seems like something is overheating and it has to cool before it will start again..any idea of what it could be??? it is a 1987 old. 98 regency

that happened to me and I solved the problem by replacing the computer. It cost me $40.00 out of a junk yard and it has been running perfect ever since.

Depending on where you are located... alot of shops do a cheap test or even free to throw the comp on!

Based on the information you have given to this point, I am just going to give you a few possiblities. Have you had a tune up done recently? Air filter been checked or changed? I am not in any way trying to sound sarcastic so I apologize if I come off that way.Those would be my first things to inspect if I were ask to look at your car. I would also check fuel pressure and inspect the fuel pressure regulator.I would consider these things and go from there. I Hope this helps you but please let me know if you need more information on what to do next but I may need some more information at that time also .

remove expansion tank cap (if fitted) take off the highest hose clip in the system and fill from there if you have an air lock in the system it will be obvious...after connecting back up, fill tank with neat anti freeze.(if tank is higher than hose, fill tank as air is expelled from the pipe.)
