To Replace the starter motor of the 2011 Santa fe is simple on nearly every make and model of passenger vehicle. The battery is disconnected to prevent electrical shock or damage to sensitive electronic components, and then the starter motor is disconnected from all electrical connectors. Once disconnected, the starter, and any shims used, are removed from the vehicle with only a couple of bolts, and replaced in the opposite order of operations. The electrical connections must be placed on the correct terminals, also known as "posts", and the replacement starter should have the same number of posts as the original.

Yes. Your Local Auto Parts Store should Carry these as Direct Replacements. If Not, Sears Carries them.

The above statement is GREAT!!! The wheel-well piece folds down across the area you need to be in. There are 2 screws to undo this part. Push it back and there is a cap that unscrews which holds the wires and socket he is talking about. Unscrew the cap, unscrew the wire and housing. The bulb comes out. You pull the wire harness off and install the new bulb. It has a triangular push-in and it has to go just right so take note of how it comes out. Also, being a halogen light bulb, do not touch the bulb with your hands - the oils will make it explode.

This is from the factory service manual of your car:
There is no onboard programming procedure for this vehicle. This vehicle requires special equipment be connected to the vehicle to program the keyless remote. Translation you need the dealer to do this.

raise the front end.
Starter is mounted to the lower-left side of the engine.
You didn't specify an engine, so assuming the 2.7 V6.
Starter is a cylindrical canister about the size of a large can of beans...Follow the heavy red cable from the battery down to the front of the starter.
*You may need to remove the transaxle cables for access*
Take the old starter with you to buy the replacement, and you'll get your core credit on-the-spot.
As a side note: the '02 models were recalled in Jan '03 for faulty starter assemblies...but I don't see a note on the '03.
