Knocking nosie from left side of 06 saturn ion? hear it all the time but mainly after 2nd gear when it shifts is the worst part?

Have your motor supports checked. Also the drive shaft could be causing the problem if that knocking is not coming from inside the motor.

When your power steering pump goes out does it lock up your steering wheel

I doubt it.
Usually when the pump fails it smokes the belt.
If the steering wheel will not turn and the fluid is contaminated, I would say the problem is the gear box or rack and pinion depending on the make model and year.

My 89 pathfinder is making a rattling sound that sounds like a lifter tapping but when you push in the clutch it will stop the nosie for a min or two then starts back again.

Hi Michael, If the noise changes when the clutch pedal is held depressed the problem will more likely be related to the clutch assembly and in particular with the clutch thrust release bearing. To attend to that will mean removing the gear box which means replacing the plate, cover and bearing will prove more economic. Regards John

Supercharger is making rattle nosie inside its a 671 blower

Rotors are touching making the noise.. Could be bad bearings or clearances that are to tight. Rebuild or reset rotor clearances.. Uses shims to work the rotors in or out on the helical gears. Shims behind the gears.
