Look for a drum-shaped device 8-10" in diameter mounted on the fire wall. This is the vacuum booster. The master cylinder and the reservoir for brake fluid will be attached to this. BTW, if the fluid is discolored when compared to new fluid for your Honda, it may be time to flush and change it. Standard brake fluid absorbs water over time and its boiling point will fall making your braking action under hard or frequent braking less effective.
First of all unless there is a leak u shouldnt have to fill it . it acts as an indication that ur brakes r going low. but there should be a line on the res to indicate where to fill it to
SOURCE: Brakes are not working. Brake fluid reservoir is
Yes. Add fluid to the reservoir and watch/ look around for any leakage but I doubt.
Take care and rate this.
SOURCE: How do I fill brake fluid?
You need to do more than just adding fluid. There must be a leak some where in the brake lines. You need to fix that than add fliud and bleed all the brakes. If you don't your brakes won't work right.
SOURCE: Brake warning light is on, emergency brake is ok.
If the fluid is lower use dot3 brake fluid. There is a sensor in the master cylinder for the level. If the light goes off then have your brakes checked out if your pads are low the the calipers will be moved out when this happens the fluid level will drop if the calipers are push back in after brake pads are installed the fluid level will go back up i hopes this helps :)
SOURCE: i need to add brake fluid - where is the brake
It will be under the hood, on the driver's side, mounted on the brake booster, mounted on firewall. The master cylinder is usually silver with a plastic reservoir on top with a black plasic cap, there should be 4 steel lines coming out of it. Remove the cap and fill up to the "FULL" level on the reservoir.
