Sounds like the electronic module needs to be replaced. Unplug the old one take out the mounting screws get a new one at the auto parts place plug it in replace the mounting screws and it should be ready to go it's not hard

I don't know if you are talking about outside temperature or engine temperature. If engine temperature-it could be the ignition coil or coilpak or fuel pump. If outside air temp- then the cold start circuit acts like a choke and the engine is too lean to start good when the cold start circuit does not work in hot weather. There is a temperature sensor in the air bonnet for incoming air.

1999 Malibu hard start in hot weather, after it starts runs great lots of power. starts when cold in cooler weather.V6 3.1 engine. have gas at rail. changed spark plugs and wires, IAT and ECT sensors also...

this is most likely a fuel vapor issue.

fuel boils in the fuel rail causing a hard start after a 'hot soak'.

the fix is to replace the fuel pressure regulator and the pcm. good- day !!

My 1993 dodge caravan 3.3 v-6 is taking a while to start hot or cold, but then runs fine until you shut it off and start it again. any ideas?

Hard to start after shutting off

The starter operates great when cold. When the engine gets to its normal operrating tempreture the starter gets hot. An old starter will have an expanded armature from this causing the starter to drag or just freeze up hot . When its cool it will start again. This will eventuly get hot and the armature will go bad forever on you so get it changed soon

2006 Maxima starts ok when cold. Really hard to

Might be an oil issue. Oil when hot might be too thick for the pump to pump the oil easily in the engine. Check that and if not that come back.

98 Escort Hard starting when hot

sounds like a dodgy mis reading of a sensor caused by electrical resistance which is turning choke on and flooding engine.know the fault but without car in front of me its difficult to diagnose, could be auto choke sensor which is on right hand side of cylinder head ,but not sure.best is probally dealer have you tried spark plug gaps ??25th although this would cause problems with cold starting not hot starting but its worth a look
