Water (?) is constantly leaking onto the drivers floor of my 1995 Pontiac Grand Am. It is NOT leaking from the windshield. Whats leaking?

Rain or shine the floor on the drivers side is constantly wet. Looked for drips but don't find any. Have doused the car with the hose and know it's not the windshield. What is leaking?

SOURCE: Water dripping onto the floor on passenger side below the dash broad

Under the passenger side of the vehicle, near where your feet are, should be a drain tube. This get clogged from time to time by road grime and usually insects, so carefully use a small screwdriver to clean it out. If this clogs, the A/C system cannot remove its own condensation and it backs up into the car.

SOURCE: Pontiac Montana 2004 Leak

I turned on the fan inside and closed everything up, went outside and poured soapy water around everywhere. I found bubbles at the mirrors and and the top of the windshield. Also a "Tech" told me that under the door rubber at the driver and passenger sides there is a piece of tape that is supposed to cover two assembly holes on either side but doesn't, so I caulked it and solved the leak that comes out the map lights. I also found that there was a crack in the sealer along the firewall to passenger inside fender allowing water to collect int the wiring channel causing the dreaded "lock" problem, which I had fixed by the dealer but they didn't fix the leak. The dealers and "Jet-set Execs"are the reason GM is hurting as their vans are OK. The fix was spraying RV Roof\Gutter sealant from the front after removing the wiper cover and spraying waaay in. Now I need to fix the one on the front that comes in above the passengers left foot and makes a spiders haven behind the centre cowl. Jim

SOURCE: 2001 Pontiac Sunfire passenger floor is soaking wet after rain.

This is either two things. 1: The air conditioner condenser is leaking and will have to be siliconed, or you have a bead door or other weather stip that is allowing water in.

Water leak fro dash bored

On the early 2000 model Grand Prix the issue with the water leaking into the passenger floor board is usually the seal that has come off near the blower motor, this seal is easily able to be replaced and is inexpensive right from GM. You can remove you wiper blades and the plastic coweling in front of the widshield then look down inside where the intake is for this blower motor and you should see the seal just laying there or maybe hanging off. The purpose of this seal is to divert rain water that runs down the windshield and into this intake area. Replace this seal and it should take care of the issue.

If this isn't the issue some of these cars had an issue with the windshield not having enough adheasive installed on the lower portion of the windshield and allowing rain water to be driven in between the window and the dash, the water then runs down the firewall behind the dash and corrodes wiring. A friend of mine had this issue on his pontiac and had to had the entire ECM wiring replaced and the window resealed.

Water on floor passenger side after it rains and after air has been running 2000 grand prix

Ac hose leak?
leaking heater core?

Hint: it leaks when it RAINS

If it were related to the heater core or the AC drain, it would be leaking when it is not raining also, so those diagnoses are not logical.

The grand prix has a long history of floor leaks from seal failures around the air intake under the windshield cowling, where RAIN water runs in.

97 Pontiac Grand Prix Leaks 2" Water on Front Passenger Floor in a Heavy Rain (But not if the car is parked on a down slope.

Check the bottom of the door for clogged drain holes. Could also be a weatherstrip seal leak around the door opening. Worst case there could be a leak around the windshield gasket.

2001, rain water comes onto the passenger side floor. I removed the cabin air cover and reinstalled, siliconing the edge to the windshield. It still leaks. Whats wrong?

Are you sure it's rain water and not coolant? Coolant would have a distinct smell.

Does the car have a sunroof? The drainage tubes on sunroofs can get stopped up and allow water to enter the car.
