SOURCE: check engine light stays on

Make sure the gas cap is there and is fully tightened (it will click), a loss or missing cap will turn the check eng light on.

Po171 po174 restricted performance

Common fault is leaking gasket on intake manifold towards the back, do you have the following symptoms - uneven idle - sudden cut out on idle but starts up again with no problem?
If so you will find a leak on the inlet manifold. The codes show a leak after the MAF- so this is the area to check. Hope this helps.

I have a code that i need to get the right part..PO174

po 174 is typically accompanied by code po 171 however the code is normally a vaccum leak fords normally have an issue with the pcv valve hose collapsing a busting or either the plastic intakes have a vaccum leak that clears up when the engine warms up which is normally the upper plenum gaskets

Diagnosis Code PO174

before replacing parts i always like to clear the code and see if it comes back .
there could be a fluke that set the code or poor fuel could also cause this code.
i would continue to drive and see if the code comes back and if it does find a independent garage and get a second opinion. and just play dumb and see what they say.
good luck
