make sure vehicle is in park pull back selector and place in park again and try key -can push selector in park position and try remove key at same time --if battery dead boost vehicle and turn key off --there have been past problems with this happening in captivias aveos and a few other s with the problem either being ignition switch /cylinder ///park selector people have tried up to 10x before key came loose -- under key cylinder or steering column should be a small plug or hole either a strong piece of wire or small screwdriver to fit up hole you should be able to push on a key release button and turn key --if and when or if can drive over to a dealer you should be under a warranty and have problem checked
