Repace old battery with new battery, car won't start

Make sure your new alternator is working. Just because it's new doesn't mean it works. Have it tested. Autozone will do it for free.

Hi my car won’t start it turns over fine but the immobiliser seem to be kicking in. Was running fine changed the battery an now won’t start. Any ideas?

Do you have spark?

try disconnecting the battery cables.clean the connections with baking soda and water solution,(alittle thick solution)it should make the connections look new.if the battery is close to 3yrs old replace it.isure this helps you out

Is there a check engine light on? Did car crank with old battery or you just replaced to see if would start?

When you jump started the vehicle, it started as normal and you drove to a shop to have a new battery installed.?? Correct??

1. Who removed the old battery and installed the new one?

2. Did the car start normally immediately after the new battery was fitted? How frequently were you able to drive the car on the new battery before the problem you described appeared?

3. Has anything been done to the vehicle since the new battery was fitted.?

As with any no start condition, you need to figure out if you have no spark to the plugs or no fuel to the injectors.
A common problem on Mopar products is the pickup coil in the dist and the ASD relay.

A cheap cooling sensor might not start the fan. Make sure the one you or your mechanic bought is a quality product.

Now you have a good battery & a starter that turns over the motor

Have you cycled the key on & off with a fuel pressure gauge on the
fuel rail?

Do you have a fuel filter that isn't over 3 or 4 years old?

Have you checked for spark while cranking ? Use an old plug on the wires,
if you have ignition wires,don't ground the wire without resistance

If you removed the ducting & MAF Sensor it won't start

Tell us what you checked & exactly how that was done.

is the new battery the same as the one you took out of car with the output Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) that matches the old one.
