Look for a pinched or bare spot on the wire from the sender to the dash.

It could possibly be a baffle in the muffler that is causing it to vibrate with acceleration from the engine, or even a exhaust leak from a connection that broke or the gasket has failed. The catalytic convertor might also be the culprit. I would take the vehicle into a shop that specializes in exhaust work and let them put it up on lift to see whats actually going on.

The fuel gauge is operated by the fuel sending unit. The sending unit may be stuck. The temp sensor may also be bad.
First check your fuses.

see if you might have a bad ground on the gas tank where wires hook up to the top of gas tank. I don't know if you can reach up and move the wires around from side to side could have a bad connection. might have to let the gas tank down. have you tried to check your fuses first. if you find one for the fuel gauge pull it out look at real good make sure it is not burnt across inside by looking at the fuse what I usually do if you have another good fuse same amp is try a different fuse just to be sure.i use to work on cars a lot but had surgery on my back so from work history of 30 plus years of knowledge I hope I can help others. I hope this works let me know if this helps. you also might try to wiggle the wires around on the back of fuel gauge. you may also have a bad gas gauge but try what I said to try first. god bless

The 1.6 Liter engine is a non-interference motor just incase it did beak......Lucky you. Not that fact it broke but the fact that you have no more extra stuff to worry about. I hope the this helps and good luck.

A 1996 Sentr's water temp monitoring system is (I think) electrical, so have an electrician check your temperature gauge, thermostat, and all the wiring involved to find out which is working, then have the defective part replaced.

First from the fuel tank in side the fuel tank there is filter remove the screws on the top where the fuel gauge fitted when you remove gauge you can see fillter that is one sometimes blocked.

Next if you check fuel filter it is ok, but nissan sunny has fuel filter inside the caburator where fitted fuel pipe from the fillter clean that filler.

ather thiing is check your connections any leak or loose.
