Rebuilt transmission just put it in and its stuck in reverse put in new clutch pressure plate and throw out bearing
SOURCE: ax 15 transmission grind after new clutch installation
Take it back to the guy that did the work. Sounds like he's got the pressure plate on crooked putting it in a bind. Whatever it is happened during the installation. That's a given!
SOURCE: Clutch won't disengage.
the mechanic should check the master cylinder assembly of the clutch check if the the rubber cups and the spring is still functioning or good if worn out or destroyed then re place . After checking check the reservoir if there still is a fluid if none then refill.there are two cylinders of the jeep there for you have to check it twice. Since you have check the transmission .But it has no problem then it could be the master cylinders for when you pressed the clutch it will stall.

Most likely the noise is the throwout bearing. If you have lots of miles on it you may consider doing the entire clutch while you're in there. If the pressure plate is in really good shape, you could just replace the disc, but if there are any hard spots on the plate it may chatter. Don't forget the pilot bearing in the back of the crank either.
Testimonial: "that is the answer that i was looking for sounded lika throwout or plate. i was also told the cv but thats def. not the case.. thank you very much"
SOURCE: Our 2007 Liberty with 37,000 has fused clutch
Fused plates are the result of a pressure loss inside the unit. this can be isolated to the clutches in one drum or throughout the assembly depending where, how severe that failure was and how long it was driven after the initial failure happened. (shaft seal piston seal etc) An external leak can also result in a similar condition. Without actually seeing it, I could only guess as to which of the above happened, but it's certain one did.
Being a machine, it is subject to flaws. The clutches inside an automatic are far less rugged than the material on a conventional clutch, depending upon constant oil supply to keep them cool and also for the necessary pressure that causes them to engage without slipping. If for any reason that oil does not reach them they quickly burn.(and fuse together).
I don't pay much attention to warranties but I was under the impression that the Chrysler powertrain warranty was longer than that.
Cheaper option if no warranty would be one from a wreck.
