The same thing is happening with my Chysler Sebring and I got it tested and I put A Cranckshaft sensor in, but it didn't correct the situation. What did you do?

  • lorraainenas Aug 05, 2011

I didn't put a crankshaft sensor in , Instead I put a camshaft sensor in. It still is jerking, what should I do.

Where would i get a diagram to show me where the crank sensor on my 1997 town and country van is

The crank sensor will be located on the back of that engine. By the starter. YouTube has a cool video about it.

Crankshaft position sensor for 2005 chrysler town and country

when looking at the left hand side of the engine ( from the front or belt side ) it would usually be down on the block to the side of the crankshaft damper pulley and 4-5 inches back from the front of the engine.

How do you replace acrankshaft position sensor on a 2005 town and country van and where is it located?

Ohhh this is a difficult one. The crankshaft is not easy to replace in any vehicle, and vans can be harder.

At least the drive belt is in the front of the motor. You'll have to jack up the front of the vehicle and safely support it on jackstands, the crankshaft sensor is located behind behind the crankshaft sensor on the bottom of the serpentine belt. The Belt has to come off, then the crankshaft pulley has to come off, in order to get at the sensor.

Because they may involve removing part of the air conditioning system to get to it, a seriously suggest seeing a mechanic so have the A/C system professional discharged, before continuing.
