Toyota Echo 2005 Keep burning the EFI (15A) fuse and obviously not work

I replace the fuse and when I try to start, it automatically burns the fuse and the starter won't even work. (I know that starter also goes through this fuse but the fuse first burned when the engine was running)

SOURCE: 1990 toyota pickup 3.0 v6,engine

This is an unfortunatly common problem with this vehicle, if my hypothesis is correct. Try this: disconnect the wiring connector going to the fuel tank, under the bed. Replace the fuse and crank the engine. If the fuse does not blow, then the power wire going to the fuel tank sending unit is shorted out to ground. I change about 15-20 fuel sending units a year for this exact same issue. Replace the fuel tank sending unit if the fuse does not blow. When you get it out, you will see the cause of the short, rust at the connection on top of the sending unit. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Plug replacement on a 2005 Toyota Echo 4 cyl engine

Hey alanacheson,
The spark plugs are underneath that cover on top of the engine (should say VVTi on the cover).
Just take that cover off, and then you will see the four ignition coils. Take off the four ignition coils (with igniters), and you will see the four relatively long holes underneath, and the spark plugs are at the bottom of those holes. You will need a good spark plug socket (preferably a thin wall socket) and a 6" or 12" extension. This is actually a very easy job, and can be completed in less than an hour.
Hope this helps.

Keep blowing EFI fuse in 1991 Toyota truck (22r Engine)

Hi, there are a lot of components running on that fuse. What I would do is disconnect things, put in a fresh fuse, and then plug things back in one at a time with the key on. Check the fuse after plugging in each component to see if it burns. Then you will know which part is bad. A good start would be to pull out the circuit opening relay and disconnect the oxygen sensors as well as the EGR valve and air flow meter. Put in a fresh fuse and plug these back in one at a time checking the fuse each time. If the circuit opening relay causes the fuse to burn, the problem is probably the fuel pump.

1995 toyota camery is there a fuse or relay for the fuel pump

The fuel pump doesn't have a single designated fuse, it gets electrical input voltage from several sources, the fuses tart you need to check are the 7.5A ignition fuse, the 15A EFI, the 15A starter. There are two relays that are involved, the circuit opening relay located behind the glove box and the EFI main relay located in the fuse box under the hood, the most common problem when there is no fuel pressure is the fuel pump, check all the fuses and substitute the two relays to see if it solves the problem.

Efi fuse blown after engine start

I think gas is not getting to your fuel rail.

Could be the fuel pump. To access it you will have to remove you rear seat and take off an oval shaped plate. There you can remove it and replace the pump.

I found a solution posted on your website, suggesting that there are a second fuse to control the charger and it locates on the first row on the right in the fuse box inside. It was labeled as Power Point A (15A). I found out that fuse burned down and replaced it in my car. Now it starts to work.

EFI fuse blowing in 93 toyota 4runner

I would check the fuel pump relay under the dash in the passenger side and check the efi relay first. After that i would follow the wires to the fuel pump and the engine harness for any shorts.

EFI fuse blows

You have a short in one of your fuel injector wires. Check the wires from your fuel injectors for burns or cuts, look for bare wires grounding out on medal
