Which engine, (size and gas or diesel)????
pressure plate to fly, torque you mean?
no engine stated, no joy, nor what trans is there.
some cars have 3 different stick shift trans offered.

to work on cars, know what engines is there, at least.
bigger engines use larger clutches.
some even have larger clutches with SOHC< to DOHC options.

Here are the steps on how to torque the flywheel and clutch plate on a 2003 Kia Spectra: Install the flywheel and clutch plate. Use a torque wrench to tighten the flywheel bolts to 78 - 80 ft-lbs (106 - 112 Nm). Use a torque wrench to tighten the clutch plate bolts to 19 - 21 ft-lbs (26 - 29 Nm). Torque specs on the pressure plate and/or clutch plate of 89 Ford Ranger?

With the clutch plate centre tool in position, tighten the clutch pressure plate bolts to 15 to 24 ft/lbs, (21 to 32Nm), tightening in a criss-cross pattern. I would suggest setting to 19 ft/lbs, (26Nm) as this is a mid range setting.

How to remove clutch plate with out removing presure plate

It won't fall out, it is to wide. You should replace the pressure plate and have the flywheel surfaced with this job. I replace the master and slave also, if you have them.

I am fitting a new clutch assy to my vy ss ute, i bought the kit genuine from Holden removed the old assy and fitted the new flywheel, clutch plate n pressure plate. but my problem is that i have torqued...

did you use a pilot spline to align the clutch and did you change the pilot bearing in the end of the crank. The clutch plate maybe interfering with the pressure plate if it is not lined up.

How to replace a clutch in a 95 nissan pickup

hELLO remove your transmission from your truck and unplug all lines and electric wire from it and you will see your pusher plate removed all bolts on the pusher plate and remove the plate and the clutch disc also remove the flywell from the engine and get it refaced from the brake shop and also install a new clutch bearing at the same time, you will have to center your clutch disc when you will install the clutch the way to do it is you put the disc and the pusher plate togeter you install the bolt on the pusher plate snog by hand but dont tight it at this time put the centering toll trought the hole in pusher plate and the disc and center the disc and tight the bolts on the pusher plate at this time and remove the toll(if you remove the flywell those bolts have a torque on it be sure to torque the bolts at the right torque for it refer to a mecanic for it and reinstal your transmission.

Replace clutch on 95 sidekick

You want to know the procedure?

You will need tools and a jack and a really good strong friend.

Remove the drive shaft. Unbolt the trans from the engine and put it aside. Unbolt the pressure plate and remove. The clutch plate will fall on you. Remove the fly wheel for resurfacing.

Take everything to the auto parts place that has a machine shop.

Get the flywheel resurfaced. Purchase a new/rebuilt clutch plate and rebuilt pressure plate. Get a new throw out bearing. Also get a clutch plate alignment tool while you are there.

When you get all the stuff together, reassemble it.

Put the fly wheel back in ... becareful of the starter. Add the clutch plate and the pressure plate. Use the alignment tool. Bolt it all back to proper torque spece. You will have to ask at the auto parts place for the torque specs. Oh yea, you will need a torque wrench for this.

Put the trans back in. You should probably change the universal joints while you are at it, front and rear.

Or - you could have a shop do this for about $500.00 to $1,000.00 and save on the band aids.

Thanks for your question at FixYa.com

good luck on your project.

Where is the torque converter and drive plate on 97 eclipse gst manual transmission.. so i may markmatch it before removing the tranny

hi, if you have a manual gearbox then you dont have a torque converter a torque converter is what changes the gears in an automatic gearbox as your is manual all you will have inside your gearbox is a pressure plate a clutch plate and a thrust bearing witch operates the clutch when you press the pedal down.
The only thing you need to line up on a manual box is when you have fitted the new clutch you need to have a tool that holds the clutch plate central so that when you tighten the bolts up on the pressure plate the clutch stays central if you dont do this you wont be able to get the gearbox back onto the engine as the spline from the gearbox wont be able to go through the center of the clutch into the engine.

You can make or use you own tool to hold the clitch dead center as long as its a good fit and about the same size as the spline, so once you have the new clutch in and the pressure plate loosely bolted on you can still move the clutch around behind the pressure plate now right in the center their is a hole in the pressure plate and the clutch plate this is where the tool needs to be put so that the clutch plate remains dead center whilst you tighten the pressure plate up this will then make sure that the spline on the gearbox lines up properly not doing this will make it impossible to get the gearbox on properly.

Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok
