SOURCE: car starts shakeing or vibrating once you hit 40 mph

One of 2 things may be occurring.

Is it still cold enough that some snow can be packed on the inside of your wheels? It doesn't take much weight to throw a wheel out of balance.

Or possibly, one of the balancing weights has been knocked off of your wheels. It's very inexpensive to get your tires balanced. Many tire shops will do it while you wait -- especially on a slow day.

What about rear brakes, have those been checked out? sometimes even a drum can warp, it could also be an imbalaced tire, maybe even an untrue rim. normally bouncing comes from an imbalance somewhere.

SOURCE: 2003 Saturn Vue; serious vibrations felt through

I'm betting it is the rotors. Warped rotors might cause your problem. Turned rotors that are too thin will warp when heated. Calipers that are sticking or grabing might also do this. A good mechanic should be able to diagnose it after driving it.

SOURCE: vibration when braking

Have your ABS system checked. As new as this vehicle is it should be equipped with ABS.

Have your rotors refaced or turned lay are out of round and have the right front caliber replaced or unstick it.That pull to the left means that the left caliber is getting more pressure then the right causing it to pull left.

Vibration at 70 MPH.

Warped or out-of balance brake rotor? Also keep in mind that loose rear differential trailing arms that allow the rear differential to squirm around can also cause steering wheel shake.

Brakes all 4 lock up steering wheel shakes above

OK, when the ABS module is unplugged, the same results. That tells me that the ABS system is not working properly.
Did they look into the master cylinder and other abs related components?
Any ABS codes on it?

If steering wheel shakes above 50 mph that's likely to be the tires on it, rather than a brake problem.

Have tires balanced and rotated and inspected for out of roundness that might cause vibration above 50 mph.

When i hit the brakes or go over 60 miles the wheels will start to shake

It sounds like you may have more than one problem here. First I would investigate Front End Alignment and ALL Steering/Suspension components for excessive wear and/or looseness. Second I would Inspect the Brake Rotors and Pads for uneven wear. Third I would check the Tires for uneven wear and balance. Many things can cause these symptoms: Worn out Ball Joints, defective Shock Absorbers/Struts. Worn out Tie Rod Ends, Idler Arm, even the Steering Gear Box can be part of the problem. Brake Rotors and Tires can be out of Balance with either one causing the problem over 60 MPH. I strongly suggest having your vehicle inspected by an ASE Certified Front End and Brake specialist immediately. It is very dangerous to drive a vehicle with these symptoms.

Front wheels and steering wheel shake while driving

If you get a bad vibration in your steering wheel at low speeds without braking it is either a bad tire or a bad rim. If you get a vibration at speeds around 45-50+ and goes away you probably have a balance issue. If the vibration only occurs while braking then your rotors are warped. If low speeds it shakes i'd take it to a shop to check your tires.
