SOURCE: where is the resistor in a 2001 ford explorer

You have to remove your glove box and it is behind there. Here is a picture of where it is. This particular picture is from a 4 X 4 so if you don't have that it won't have the 4X4 part. Let me know if you have any more questions. Thanks for using FixYa!5877c26.jpg

SOURCE: which fuse operates the ac & heater blower.

There is a fuse box inside the car to the left of the steering column. fuse 228 10 amp and fuse 208 40 amp. Check power to the blower motor connector. Check for water in blower. I have seen water get into blower motor and short out. Good luck I hope this helps.

Ford focus se how to repair

invest in a can with a gague of 134A at auto zone it will have the filler hose on it. Attach it to your low pressure side line .it will only fit on the low pressure side. (if you cant find low pressure line on car google (where is low pressure line for AC Ford focus) check your gauge if low on R134A add some from can .If all is ok check ac fuse. if nothing works after makeing sure system is full of 134A check if your compressor is working. usually it just needs to be recharged.

My 2001 ford focus ac light is blinking but hot air is coming out. I just had freon put in the car one can

it might need another can, with ac on and controls turned to ac max the compressor should start cycling as the freeon is added. if not you might have a low or high pressure switch that is bad check fuzes incase you blew the fuse for the ac compressor

2001 ford focus problem

The problem is a resistor pack located behind the glove box mounter to the firewall area. There's a thermal fuse, similar to ones used in household hair dryers, that blows. Either replace the fuse (if you can find one at an electronics parts supplier), or go to Ford and buy the resistor pack. Its not terribly expensive, but the fuse, if it can be found, is a little ove a dollar.

2001 ford focus heater switch

I have just managed to fix the blower in my 2004 Ford Focus. Only worked on number 4 which cuts out the AC. Garage quoted me £40 for part and £40 for labour. I brought a second hand resistor from these people (very helpful and only £10 plus VAT) http://www.breakeryard.com/view_supplier_feed...

. Arrived next day. To replace the old one you just remove the 3 screws under the glove box and pull the box out. In front of you will be a big barrel which is the fan. To the bottom right of this you will see the old resistor. This is held in by one screw. Remove this and pull out the fixed wires. Put in the new part, re attach the wires and put the screw back. Job done. Should take about 15mins.
Hope this helps somebody somewhere
