Why won't my hazard lights work on my 1996 GMC Sierra pickup.

I had my truck set up to pull 5th wheel rv. Now the hazard lights don't work, I changed the flasher but still don't work. If I push on the brake pedal, the hazard lights light up but won't flash, I pull out flasher and step on brake pedal, the hazard lights still come on, but don't flash.

I don't seem to have power going to hazard flasher.

Did this problem happen after the wiring harness was installed for teh trailer? Sounds like you have seperate turn lights and brake lights on the rear of your truck and your trailer has single lamps on each side. This requires a converter to be installed in the wiring of your truck. Check that first.

that stops your front turn lights from comming on, but your hazards still do not work, make sure you are replacing teh correct flasher unit, There is one for your turn signals and a sepearate one for emergency flashers that is quite often hidden on many vehicles.

Ok, if you don't have power into the switch, you may have a wiring problem coming from the fuse box. On most models the hazard circuit is powered from the brake light fuse.

Thanks Stephen, I will check that out when I get the chance and I will let you know if that works.

How do I find the horn under the hood:

Horn is under the front headlight light, which would have to be removed to access or pull the front wheel well liners out and look in just below the running lights. I believe 2 horns.

Marker lights, tail lights and dash lights do not work

I had a similar nagging problem once, though I do not recall the dashlights being involved. For me, the lines from the brakes went up the steering column to the turn signal. I pulled the wheel and inspected all the connections, and just like that everything worked again. I believe I could have tugged on the wiring harness without pulling hte wheel and obtained the same results.
