SOURCE: check engine light is on

I would have them take a good look at the fuel preasure and also the coil pack, as the car may run good at times and then skip whenever, hope this helps, also have they scanned the computer for stored codes as if its skipping the check engine light must be on.

2004 Chev Silverado 5.3 fouls spark plugs left side only

The knock sensor code is likely not the problem but the code is a side effect of the real problem. Causes could be a malfunctioning upsteam O2, a sticking fuel injector or a valve problem.

The firing order is 1 2 3 4 with 1 being the passenger side. Aveos don't have distributors, so the other end of the wire shouldn't give you much trouble.

04 chev optraheadlights not working. new switch and drl module. drls working .no high or low beam.relays and fuses good

apparently there has been a Daewoo technical bulletin that says problems with low beam and DRL on some 2005-6 Optras caused by a melted wire in the s201 splice pack on the IP harness. If I knew where that was I might be able to fix the same problem on my Optra. Tried new light switch but no success.

04 chev optra i have no daytime running lights and no low beam but the high beam works i have swaped fuses and new bulbs what else can it be

I have a similar problem with my 2005 Optra 5 - daytime running lights are hit/miss. About 3-4 years ago, the alarm started activating itself - FREQUENTLY. Turns out it was corroded wires. Now this. (Take heart - my Corolla had a similar problem - bad sockets - bulbs burned out faster than they could be replaced. Toyota never did admit responsibility.)

Transport Canada Recall # 2007315 Recall Date: 2007/09/28 Notification Type: Safety Mfr System: Lights And Instruments Manufacturer Recall Number: 07240 Units Affected: question.gif 33,865 Category: Car Recall Details: Certain vehicles may experience a loss of headlamp low beam or Daytime Running Light (DRL) function as a result of a melted instrument panel harness connector. Low beam failure would lead to reduced visibility during hours of darkness. DRL failure may render the vehicle less visible to other motorists and pedestrians during daylight hours. Both cases could lead to a vehicle crash with injury or death. Correction: Dealers will add a direct connection splice clip to the headlamp low beam circuit in order to bypass the faulty connector.
