P0340 2005 Nissan Murano - Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit
Possible causes- Faulty Camshaft Position Sensor-
Camshaft Position Sensor harness is open or shorted- Camshaft Position Sensor circuit poor electrical connection- Faulty starter motor- Starting system circuit-
Dead (Weak) battery
P1701- Fuel trim
I would suggest replacing the camshaft position sensor. When the sensor fails it can cause changes in fuel system that the computer can detect. So I suspect once the camshaft sensor ivreplaced that the P1701 code will be gone. Cam Position Sensor Replacement Nissan Murano 3 5L

If you do not know where the Camshaft Position Sensor is located, then it would be safe to assume that you have not properly tested the sensor or the circuits that operate the sensor. Therefore, you cannot possibly know for sure that it even NEEDS to be replaced...so why are you looking to replace it?
How did you know that your cam shatf sensor is in trouble? do you have your own Code Reader. It is so complecated, you can replace the sensor as easy as it could be but are you sure that your sensor is dead? Tell me pls. what had happend to your engine. was the engine check always lighting before when you are driving but you've just ignored the warning light.

for a Nissan Quest, it is in the distributor. Not serviceable, replace distributor. Famous for nearing failing and getting brown dust on optical sensor for camshaft sensor. buy on ebay for $200. Cleaning optical sensor is temp repair.
