Have an ECU problem that has caused engine not to fire. Any suggestions?

Check the crank sensor wiring first. If the crank sensor wiring is good and not frayed or broken, replace the crank sensor. The crank sensor tells the fuel injectors and the spark plugs what to do. It's located at the back of the engine on the pass. side about 2 o'clock position and the wiring runs under the engine. There are 2 bolts, some are allen headed and some are bolts that hold it in place. Remove the 2 bolts and the sensor just slides out. It's in between the engine and trans.

Where is the temp sensor located on a 1999 saturn

The engine coolant temperature sensor is located on the driver's side of the head of the engine. Look for the upper radiator hose going into the head of the block. It is just behind and underneath it. You will have to take off the air intake tubing. It has two wires going to it (black and white I believe off the top of my head) and goes into a connector. Squeeze the connector at the "ears" and it pops off. Under the connector is the temp sensor. A 10MM DEEP well socket will take it off.

1998 Saturn

Are youy referring to the coolant level sensor, or the coolant temperature sensor. The level sensor is built into the resevoir bottle and can only be serviced by replacing the entire reservoir. The temperature sensor is locate on the cylinder head on the right side of the engine (standing in front of the car, facing the engine. AKA the drivers side.) It is below the upper radiator hose toward the bottom of the head. There is a small two wire connector that plugs into it.
