Over heaten on pulling my trailer - 2004 Ford F-350 Super Duty

transmission over heating.too much weight for the pull. you could install transmission cooler kit.or you need more horse power.depend trailer size. if trailer weight around 10000 to 11000 lbs need bigger truck.

NEVER use OVERDRIVE when hauling a trailer, unless the trailer is EMPTY and you are on FLAT OPEN HIGHWAY!

ALWAYS go directly to the ground connection to your pull vehicle. Remove and clean these ground connections between the pull vehicle and trailer. Been the problem 99% of the time.

Check your grounds, expecially on the trailer. Check your trailer lights. Do you have some kind of bulbs that are of a high wattage? They may be draining more power than what the motor home is producing. Are there a lot of trailer lights? That could be the drain. If possible, pull out all the trailer bulbs and insert one at a time while watching for the lights to be affected.

well you have a short in the wiring to trailer or on the trailer, you need to trace it down

Depends on the overall trailer weight and the tougue weight. Generally if the trailer weight is less than 6000 lbs and tonque weight does not exceed 700 lbs you should be okay. Consult your owners manual to be certain.
