Are the brakes on the trailer stuck on , even partially , is the trailer too heavy for the vehicle ? if all this ok i'd check the water pump is ok on your truck, as the extra power needed for towing , will put extra strain on all ancirally components , ie drive belts , water pump , alternator, keep me posted if you wish

Charmac horse trailer dome lights

ALWAYS go directly to the ground connection to your pull vehicle. Remove and clean these ground connections between the pull vehicle and trailer. Been the problem 99% of the time.

While pulling a trailer we lose the running lights and tail light on 96 Winnebago Minnie

Check your grounds, expecially on the trailer. Check your trailer lights. Do you have some kind of bulbs that are of a high wattage? They may be draining more power than what the motor home is producing. Are there a lot of trailer lights? That could be the drain. If possible, pull out all the trailer bulbs and insert one at a time while watching for the lights to be affected.

Pulling a trailer

Depends on the overall trailer weight and the tougue weight. Generally if the trailer weight is less than 6000 lbs and tonque weight does not exceed 700 lbs you should be okay. Consult your owners manual to be certain.
