Abs light blinks 16 times brake lights dont work

In some cases, not all, low brake fluid level can cause the ABS light to come on. Most vehicles do that as a safety feature to get you to make sure you have plenty of brake fluid. Locate the 16 pin Data Link Connector under the steering side.
To clear fault codes, switch off ignition, connect jumper wire between terminals TS (pin 12) and CG (pin 4). Switch the key on, then pump the brake pedal eight or more times in three seconds or less. When codes are erased, the ABS light should flash two times per second.

Switch off the ignition. Remove the jumper wire.

Check speed sensors on the front.Clean them with a non chlronated brake cleaner this most likely the problem.

Is it the "brake"repair light blinking & chiming?? Or is it the "ABS" brake light blinking/chiming. Brake light should be red, ABS amber

run a code scan on the truck

Check the brake fluid level and add as needed.

Just a idea. If the car is running at idle and the oil light blinks , it usually from low oil pressure. At a idle your seeing the light respond to the revolutions of the engine. ! thing to try is to replace the oil pressure switch on the engine block. And #2, Most causes in a VW is that the vehicle overheated at one time and weekend the oil pump,or massive amount of miles.
