B2200 manual transmission fluid check

can I put a power steering pump on a 1988 Mazda pickup truck B2200

Probably the valve guides or seals this happen's early in engine's that idle excessiveJohnny

Check fuel pressure. If good, rebuild carb.

down the same tube that the dipstick is. near the firewall right side (passenger side)

replace lifters or run diesel fuel thru engine at next oil change to remove sludge and coating on lifters

i understand the problem chad skeet69 is having w/his 1988 mazda b2200. why would you lower a b2200? doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose of hauling water with it? one way to fix your problem is to move. get expert help from a certified mechanic. it was fun talking to you in emails but i'm not interested in those kind of activities.

FOR Automatic and Manual Transmissions it is 6 degr.

Depends if you want new or used, Location, and a few other variables

Check the transmission fluid. If it's low, this would cause the transmission to slip. If it's brown or give off a burning smell, it needs changing along with the filter. A vehicle this age should never have the old fluid suctioned out of the auto trans filler tube as this would stir up any metal fragments through your transmission. If the fluid is fine (nice purple color) and the level is full, then the transmission has other issues and needs to go to the shop.

yes, i believe you could put any engine on your pick-up provided it is the rear wheel type set-up and the engine comes with its own tranny. problem is, if changing the engine mounts, tranny mounts, wiring set-up and exhaust system layout would not be of any problem to you. might as well look for the same mazda engine you have as a replacement to ease installation.
