How do i stop the clutch from slipping in high gear, driving at about 60mph in 5th tried to excelerate but the speed stayed at 60 and the revs shot up, it is an intermitent fault but doesnt arrear to happen in low gears, i even tried pulling away in too high a gear to make the clutch slip but it just stalls as you would expect

The master cylinder only gets low if there is a leak. Your slave cylinder or the master cylinder is leaking. Look under dash were the petal pushed the master cylinder to see if fluid is coming out. Then look at the slave cylinder under the car. It is bolted to the right side of the transmission bell housing. May have to pull rubber boot back on it to check for fluid leakage.

You need a new clutch. A 5 speed is a gear box , they dont slip like an automatic can.
