Will the main relay in a eg8 make it gerk around on accelertion if it is faulty

Order the main fuel pump relay from any Honda parts. Easy to replace. However, be aware that it might be the ignition switch, which is not difficult be not like the relay.

faulty relay i suspect here try swopping them around under the bonnet in the power distribution box if i remember rightly .failing which renew the stalk control switch ,the return spring inside the switch could be weak ,often happens same as the peugeot

Don't buy a new one, just pry the cover off of it with a flat head screwdriver and look close where all the sharp pins are sticking up on the board to find the broken solder connection(s). Heat the faulty pin with a soldering iron until the solder puddles around it and your good to go. The crack in the solder will be smaller than a human hair, look close & wiggle it and you'll see the loose connection. There is usually no need to add solder, what is there is enough, it just needs melted again.

In the meantime you can tap the relay while you're tuning the key and it will usually start. Good luck...

Buy a repair manual. It will show you how to jump related circuits and show you related components like the oil sending unit. Which if it became faulty it would shut-down the fuel pump. Too much to fuel system to give one correct answer.

give the engine a minute or two to cool down before turning it off. This cool down period allows oil to circulate and cool down the bearings in the turbo. If you shut off the engine immediately after hard driving, the oil can gum up around the hot bearings and create problems down the road.

yes your axle bearing are shot and will have to be replaced.

these trucks have a common problem with the steering sensor located around the steering colum under the dash. you can find them in the HELP section at most parts stores.
