My 2001 hyundia accent will often not start a second time. such as driving to gas station, turn off, get gas, won't restart.

your purge control valve is stuck open. replace this valve and you will be as good as new. Easy cheap fix.

no more than 1 hr, should really be around 0.7 or 0.8 hrs labor, not including the alingment

I have a 2000 HYundia accent w/ 1.5 I need to know if this is a zero clearence motor i lost a timeing belt and need to know if i should try to fix

other than striping it {THE HEAD} i would put new belt on u will soon know if any valves are damaged as a mech of 30yrs i know that its the speed the engine was reving and if the engine was turned by wheels when it cut out that can cause damage personaly i have got away with this type of engine breakdown more often than not

Set the timer on a hyundia accent, what are the markers on the an and belt?

Rotate the crankshaft until the No. 1 piston clockwise is TDC of the compression stroke.

How many miles before timer belt needs replaced

they recommend that 100,00km service includes timing belt but in my experience it wouldnt hurt any thing after 80,000km it'll make the 100,000km service alot cheaper.

Dear friend-on your vehicle cam mark should be at the top,there is a 6mm hole which must line up with a notch on the head.crank must be on TDC and the mark will be slightly to your right.
