Defective resistor pack...Remove lower hush panel (clips simply squeeze). Unplug connector. Remove two 7mm (probably) screws, take out resistor pack. Reverse directions to reassemble. saailer

SOURCE: 93 chevy caprice classic fuel pump relay

i would think if it were the relay you wouldn't hear the pump come on. I would unhook the fuel line just past the fuel filter. turn the key on long enough to see if the pump is pumping and is it getting past the filter. if it is you can rule out a possible clogged filter and you know the pump is pumping. I would then start looking for a clog. or locate the relay take it to the part store and get a new one. the problem is the relay only relays electrical signal to the pump that turns it on and off etc it doesn't tell it to pump or not pump gas so if you can hear it running it's not the relay

My 93 chevy caprice has new water pump and themostat but temp gauge still indicates its still running hot.

Could possibly have a clogged radiator, Which engine does your caprice have? You also need to make sure all air is purged from the system.

When does it over heat, all the time, or just when idling?

Fuse fule pump 93 caprice wagon

It's in the tank. You'll have to drop the tank. Use a jack to lower it. Becareful you may have to siphon off some gas if it is too full...you will splash fuel on yourself...(not that I've ever done that).
