You've got a short somewhere, energizing the circuit. Why did you replace all of those parts? Were there other issues? You shouldn't throw money and parts at something without knowing what's wrong. I would start tracing the wires back from the starter and find were the short is. Sounds like voltage is getting to the wire after the switches in the circuit.

Do you have automatic switch over in your system, or is there a receptacle where power cord stores, that you need to plug power cord into, for power from generator?
The wiring diagram for the generator is pretty simple. You have three wires coming out, White/Green/Black. The black is the Hot, White is neutral, and green is ground. If the generator is running and you do not have power at the black wire, the problem is in the generator. Check the circuit breaker on the generator for OK. Make sure that power is passing through it.
Ok I'm going to try this from memory...last time used it was a few years back when wiring up a big boat. Large (B+) wire goes from battery to large terminal on alternator back. Facing the rear of the alternator, top spade connector on alt goes to a switch (there was supposed to be a resistor in that wire, but I never used one) switch connects to (+) on battery. Terminal on right goes to the (B+) terminal on alternator. Alt case is ground. I can't find my old chiltons electrical book but that is how I remember it.
