The check balls go where the C's are marked on the diagram.

Need to replace electronic shift solenoid A

It s inside the transmission and there several of them along with other valve body solenoids for tempature and fluid pressure . Icould sent you pictures out of the manual of the locations .But all of these valve body shift related valves are related and one valve can send a code for an other and with out the proper test equiptment to correctly diagnosis the problem its complacated and not likely the real couse of the problem . If you give me an Email address you should have the 4L60-E transmission in that truck . But honstly I would take it to a transmission shop its just to speicalized and two many things can be wrong. If you want it i will send it good luck with it

I cant find were the transmission control solenoid is located at and need to replace it

what kind of transmisson is this 4t40or 4t60 or 4t65 or 4L60 ..well most general motor solenoids are located on the the transmisson valve body . which means on a rear wheel drive the transmisson pan needs to be remove to gain access to the valve body . On a front wheel drive the valve body is located under the side cover on the transmisson . Now if i remember rigth there are 3 or 4 control solnoids . 1-2 shift 2-3 shift and a Tcc solnoid . you need to know which one to replace and what location are they on the valve body

My 4l60 seems to have lost 3 and 4 gear wont shift after second

there is a recall with these transmissions, th correction involves removing the valve body from the tranny and drilling larger holes, its not something easily done as u have to be extra clean and precise. google 4l60 problem, and you will find many articles about it

Is it true that in a 1996 chevy tahoe 4x4 u can't convert the transmission with another year model like the rest of the1997s. The dealer told me with the 96 4x4 has to be replace with another 96. but 97...

The key distinction of the Later 4L60-E (1997-2006) from the Early 4L60-E (1992-1997) or 4L60 (1990-1992) or 700R4 (1982-1989) is the six-bolt "hex" rear output or tail housing / adapter pattern. The previous versions featured a four-bolt square bolt pattern at the adapter or tail housing. This is where that made the small change and the 96/97 year was a change over year so you may have the newer housing or the older housing, but if your replacing the transfer case with the transmission your good to go, the electronics are the same. Just the body housing is different. Good luck and hope this helps. And why wold you want to convert the transmission, there are lots of easy simple up grades with out dropping the transmission or valve body.

Where is shift solenoid for 91 s-10 blazere

The shift solenoid is in the valve body in the transmission, i recommend that if you have not worked on a 4L60 transmission before. Have a transmission tech do it for you, if money is the issue. You can drop the transmission oil pan and then drop the valve body and bring  it to a transmission shop and have them clean and replace the shift solenoid in the valve body just to make sure you replaced the right solenoid. There are more then one. Good luck and hope this helps.
