2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser. How to be opening a struck hood, latch is struck.

'struck' you mean something banged it? or more likely 'stuck', won't move?

I have a 2007 pt, the back drivers side door won't stay closed, I used screw driver to move latch up and down but doesn't lock

the spring in the latch unit may be broken or has rust can try spraying up and in latch with a penetrating oil use the little red hose and spray up above/behind latch than tap around it lightly [dont tap on outside by handle]usually rare that the unit breaks but usually gets some rust or debris around it if latch doesnt respond will need to remove door panel and can try to lube latch or may need to replace it

How to reset computer for my 2005 pt cruiser convertable. I put a new battery and now passenger side windows don't go down. Please help

Changing a battery should not affect the power window. The computer will be reset when the battery is disconnected. Sounds like a coincidence. Try banging on the door while operating the window switch to see if it will work again. If not, the door will have to be disassembeled for testing/inspection

The hatch door latch on my 2005 PT Cruiser works sometimes and other times only with the key. The problem didn't start until the soft pad that covers the latch started coming loose.

Please remove the paddings and see if the cable is stuck into it. If so when the lock is actuated the lock could be caught into it and not allowing to disengage.
open the latch and check this link , clean and set. It will work as you can test it before closing. Hope you try. Good day.

2005-Rusted door latch-inside cavity-both rear doors

try spraying them with a pb blaster and allowing them to sit for a few hours, respray every 25-30 minutes. Then when there done spray well with a brake cleaner to remove rust, then allow to dry spray with a wd-40 then a white lithium grease, should do it

My rear door locks work intermittently. We spray w/WD40 and they work for a few times, but then stop working again. Has anyone else had this problem? If you did, did you have to take the door panels off?...

It sounds like the switch is needing to be replaced. Do both the driver and back door switch work intermittently or just the driver?

Passenger side door lock isn't locking

youve got the latch in the closed position you need to take a screwdriver and use it to push the latch back down so the door will close again,

1997 ford explorer rear driver side door won't open

Pull the panel off starting at the top, you can just pry the window control apart, you don't need to unscrew that part. I sprayed white grease (lubriplate) all around the door latch inside there, and it unlatched easy.
After I put it back together, the knob still doesn't rise as high as the other side. I think the linkage is binding, and the connecting rod is bent. At least if the door won't unlock with the button you can do it by hand.

2001Chrysler PT Cruiser rear door stuck

Hey I happen to have the same car with the same problem. I ended up taking the inner cover off the hatch and replacing the latch itself. Did this by pulling the cover off far enough I could see the linkage and then pushed the arm on the latch itself to make it open, put a new one on and called it good. b Hope this helps.

part number 3 is what I took apart to clean all the rust and corrosion off. Yes I was able to get the first two pdf's I need the Lock Latch itself

Hi Eric , thanks for the photo's , really helps to actually see what the issue is , to be honest i'd buy a new latch as there will be wear and tear as well as corrosion damage to this old latch, i am all for repairing things when ever possible but only if the end result is 95% like new and i don't think that will be the case with this ,like a lot of modern vehicle parts this part is not designed to be repaired , i wish you luck and will try to find the manufacturer's schematic's in the mean time

Hi Eric, can not find anything that would help you , my only thought would be to take the opposite door panel off and see if you can use the lock in that door as a pattern to rebuilt the parts you have , hope this is of some help
