SOURCE: Adding freon to air conditioner

If your system takes R-134 then the fittings for the high and low pressure are different sizes. You should only be able to fit the connector on the low pressure side.

Looks like there is loss of refrigerant gas in the A/c. Get it topped up if required. The rumbling sound is from the compressor since its running out of to compressible refrigerant gas, freon or CF4. Get it topped up............sodeep

I have a 1997 plymouth grand voyager. When I turn on my air conditioner, I do not receive any cold air only hot air.I used to receive cold out a couple of months ago but even then it would only blow c

The likely cause is a bad compressor clutch, but there are other possible causes. The first thing to do is to observe the compressor with the engine running. The clutch is inside the pulley. When the a/c is off, the pulley turns on thr belt, but the clutch does not turn. When the a/c is turned on, the clutch should lock on the pulley and turn with it. Run this test and post the result here.

My 1997 Plymouth grand voyager is over heating.

My 1997 Plymouth Voyager with 40,000 miles on started to overheat and air was not on. Coolant level was perfect. Car hasn't been driven in 6 months, maybe that is why.

My van over heats only when I run the air conditioner. I changed thermostat, and check all hoses, and water pump.

Make absolutely certain that the radiator cooling fan is cycling on as it should. If not, then test for bad cooling fan relay or motor.

I have a1992 plymouth grand voyager, a had the transmission flushed and in about a month after it won't switch to 4 gear...this is a 4 speed automatic...i had no problem before fushing..it's only 108.000km...

Where did you have it done, and are you sure they used Genuine Mopar ATF4 tarnsmission oil to refill it? If they tell you it doesn't matter, then they don't know what they are talking about.

Black Cap to your left, right up front as you open the hood. Next to the Engine Coolant cap.
