1992 lexus sc 400 When O/D is on, the O/D flashes on the instrument panel (on for 1 second & off for two). The car drives well yet the engine will shift at times as if I've turned the O/D off then kick back up as if I've turned it on again. All this is not in correlation to the O/D flashing on/off, on the instrument panel.

When your O/D flashes, It is indicating that your main computer "ECU" is receiving an diagnostic code(s). If you can get a code reader (stop by your local Autozone - they can read your codes for free). Once you receive your codes, you do your research on the codes. If not you can post the codes here and i will see if I can advise your further. GL.
