I have a 2007 Mecury Mountaineer. I have an engine code (P-2006) Can you please tell what this code mean. Thank you.

P2006 = Intake manifold runner control stuck closed, Bank 1.
There is a set of 'choke' valves built into the intake manifold on the vehicle.
They are sticking closed, affecting the fuel to air mixture getting to the engine. The switches/solenoids may have failed so the will need to be tested or replaced.

code p 2004 has two references
intake manifold air control actuator , bank 1 --actuator stuck open====causes ---wiring---intake manifold air control actuator ---mechanical fault
second reference is
intake manifold air control solenoid , bank 1 --solenoid stuck open===causes ---wiring--intake manifold air control solenoid ---mechanical fault
probably means the same as what you have but in a more easy to understand method

Intake Manifold Runner Stuck Closed-2011 Kia Sportage

Try solenoid passenger side of engine. Available at auto parts stores for under $80. Test it first. 2 hoses, 2 10 mm bolts take a pic first as diaphragm valve and arm will also come off. Careful attention and mechanic sense can fix it under 1/2 to 1 hour first time including figuring it out and fumbling around.

Wants to die and spit and sputter after gets warm

Your engine has IMRC (intake manifold runner controls) that are supposed to stay closed under 3000 rpms. Over time they get carboned up and can hang open causing poor performance. Try to manually close the valve, if it immediately opens again the diaphragm might be bad. It would require replacing that IMRC.

P2006 ford f150

This Code means that the Intake Runner Control on Bank One is stuck closed. An intake runner is a part which acts like a gate and diverts airflow inside the Intake manifold.

Some have control rods which attach with plastic clips and the clips break causing the control rod to unseat in its place. They may use solenoids that are electric or Vacuum controlled and the rods on these devices are what moves the runners.

Often you can take the intake manifold off and clean the runner or reattach the rods.

Intake manifold runner control stuck closed?

you don't have to replaced the manifold just the runner control. see this all the time at work the part is about 175.00 and an hour and a half to install. your local dealer should be able to fix this for you
