Yes your car will be over heat, just go to junk yard and open thermorstar sensor of another car to replace the old one that is cheap than you buy a new one ok!

SOURCE: 1995 Toyota Camry 4 cylinder runs hot

Hi,

Firstly, ensure you have the required 'mixture' of coolant/water (must have required coolant).

Second, I would recommend you re-test all the cooling system sensors again (make sure they're within specifications), in case a new one is faulty.

Third, ensure the new thermostat was of the correct temp setting (they all differ), so that it opens at the required time. Most cooling systems operate within 90 - 100degC.

Fourth, make sure the radiator (and associated hoses) aren't blocked.

If your temp gauge is reading higher than normal, but NOT in the danger zone...then this can be considered normal (especially if you've replaced with new components) and nothing to be concerned about.

However, if the temp gauge IS in the danger zone....then this suggests the coolant is not flowing through the cooling system properly.

If all above components test ok, then it's possible your water pump may not be pumping enough volume.

Cheers,

91 toyota camery changed water pump timing belt, has spark has fuel turns over no start

If it was running before you changed the water pump and timing belt, the timing belt must be off. Did you rotate the engine 3 complete revolutions then recheck the marks before putting the covers on? You should always do that just to double check. I hope this helps, Take care.

My 2002 buick century is loosing coolant fast. When car isn't running around 60-70 mph is seems to heat up more than normal and no heat or ac will occur. Should I replace the thermostat? I noticed the fan...

it sounds like one of several problems radiator needs flushed , water pump is bad or going, thermostat is bad, pin hole in one of the hoses, cracked head, hole in radiator, hole in heater core.if core is leaking you will notice water on the floor inside the car on pasenger side. if radiator has hole when you fill radiator with coolant it will leak froom fins sometimes only when hot. thermostat bad your car will read hot and or cold always. if stuck open cold, if stuck closed hot, after about 15 20 mins of running engine will cause radiator to boil over to over flow tank.never open radiator cap when engine is hot :) burn hazard.if pump is bad or going will notice gauge reads hot intermittent or always. will boil in to overflow tank. if head is cracked will notice water comming from side of engine block or in oil when you change oil. if radiator needs to be flushed will notice scale or gunk on radiator cap

Hi,i,m a guest here .i have overheating problem with my toyota camery 92 v6...i got that my fan isn't working well , i changed it & the fan got better,,but it's not fixed yet & still i have...

How about the thermostat?

If your getting heat out the vents, the coolant is full, the upper hose is hot and the lower hose is cold that the t'stat is not opening.

If both the hoses are hot, the coolant is full, and you feel the fan pushing hot air than check the front of the radiator for debris build up. If there is no debris than the radiator could be plugged internally or the cooling fins may be severely rotted.

If the coolant is full, there is no heat out the vents and the upper hose is hot/lower hose is cold the water pump is not circulating enough coolant.

My camry gets slow on hot days and runs good in the night.I've already changed cables and radiator. it's a 91 2.0 4 cylinder.Thank you.

check your spark plug gap. It may be gapped to run hotter.
I would run radiator coolant with 60% water and 40% coolant. More water is better in the summertime.
Also a cold air intake and 5w 30 oil would help

I have a 84 351 windsor that runs way to hot i put

seems to me that you could have an air lock, try loosening the rad cap slightly and run car until fans kicks in, squeeze upper rad hose a few times to push any air out. Careful with hot hoses. see if this helps.

Overheating

If the cooling fans, water pump, radiator, and thermostat are all working properly and the engine is still overheating, I would take a look at something a little more simple, like a defective radiator cap. Try this inexpensive fix and see if it works. Sure hope this helps and good luck.

91 camry that overheats

radiator could be stopped up, fan not working properly, or t-stat sticking.
