My 1999 Chevy Tracker's battery light came on, and then my car died while driving. Before dying, the rpms jumped, and the iddling is what shut the car off. However, a simple jump start fixed the problem and the car then drove fine. Has anyone expirenced this, if so, when fixing it, where do I start?

you might have the alternator checked or simply replace it.. i would also replace the battery if its more than 2 years old

hi it sounds like the acclerrator pump on carby when you first take off is this whot it dose .

The battery is only use to start the car, once the car is moving the alternator takes over and charges the battery. I sounds like the alternator is bad. You take the alternator to Napa, Auto Zone or Advance auto part and have them check it for you.

Starter Solenoid needs to be replaced.
Remove starter and install new solenoid
