The output speed sensor on a 2014 Ford F150 XLT is typically located on the transmission tailshaft or the rear of the transmission case. It is used to measure the rotational speed of the transmission output shaft and send a signal to the vehicle's powertrain control module (PCM) indicating the transmission gear ratio.
I would recommend checking the vehicle's service manual for a more specific location and a diagram of the sensor, as the location and installation may vary depending on the specific transmission model and options your Ford F150 XLT has.
The output speed sensor is typically a small, cylindrical sensor that is mounted to the transmission case. It is connected to the PCM via a harness and may be located near the transmission oil pan or near the output shaft.
If you're unsure of its location or have trouble finding it, a professional mechanic will be able to locate and diagnose any issues with the output speed sensor.
On the 2007 Nissan Frontier with an automatic transmission, the Turbine Shaft Speed (TSS) sensor circuit A is located on the transmission itself. The TSS sensor is mounted on the outside of the transmission case and is located near the input shaft.
To access the TSS sensor, you will need to locate the sensor on the transmission and disconnect the electrical connector. The TSS sensor has two wires, which are typically colored yellow and black. You can test the TSS sensor using a multimeter to check for proper resistance and continuity.
It is important to note that the TSS sensor is a critical component of the transmission system, and a malfunctioning TSS sensor can cause issues such as improper shifting, harsh shifting, or the transmission going into "limp" mode. If you suspect that your TSS sensor is faulty, it is recommended to have it diagnosed and repaired by a qualified mechanic.
The Ford Freestyle transmission speed sensor location is driver side of the transmission, near the rear of the unit. The transmission is one of the most important parts of the vehicle. You will come into problems at some point. You may experience shudders.
Slide under the vehicle and locate the speed sensor. On a Ford transmission, the sensor is located on the driver side of the transmission, toward the rear of the unit. The sensor is a magnetic unit that screws into the transmission.

The transmission sensor or speed sensor is located in most vehicle located on the transmission case. These speed sensors are driven by a gear located on the output shaft. The speed sensor's driven gear can be either machined or fastened by a clip. The driven gear is made by plastic to make it softer than the drive gear. It's located on the end of the vehicle speed sensor.
The input an output speed sensors are located in the front of the
transmission (the side facing the radiator). The input speed sensor is
the one right below the rubber transmission cooler lines. the out put
speed sensor looks exactly the same and is located more toward the
drivers side of the transmission.
If you looking for a different sensor let me know. Thank you for using FixYa.com!
There are two speed sensors one is called a revolution sensor that is located on the case of the transmission. You can take the driver side wheel off and see the sensor on the top of the case of the transmission. A 10mm bolt is holding it in. Easy fix
