SOURCE: srs airbag light is on on my 99 pontiac grand prix

If the seat belt light comes on intermittently with the belt buckled, it may have a bad switch in the buckle or a loose connection @ the switch. This may also set a diagnostic trouble code in the srs control module & keep the srs airbag light on.

SOURCE: drl location 2006 grand prix

Pont Grand Prix; has 16 pin DRL module, fuse removes DRLs and Auto-ON (there is also a fuse for air bags, SRS)
believe most recent GM models (99+), use a VCR tape sized DRL module that will be under the dash, behind radio, glove box, over pedals, etc are typical locations for your car in various years.. There are two 8 pin connectors to it

I have a PONTIAIC 05 grand prix GTP my information center says anti theft is disabled after installing and new ignition switch also the information is all in Spanish I need english

Why did you install a new ignition switch ? Lock cylinder part or electrical ?
You have no idea of the complexity of the electronic's on this vehicle ,your best bet take it to a qualified repair shop.
The body control module (BCM) uses the discrete ignition switch inputs ignition 1, ignition 3 and crank to distinguish the correct power mode. Once the BCM has determined the power mode selected by the vehicle operator it will energize the Ignition relay, Run relay and retained accessory power (RAP) relay, depending on which power mode is selected.

Power to many of this vehicle's circuits are controlled by the module that is designated the power mode master (PMM). This vehicle PMM is the body control module (BCM). The PMM controls which power mode (Run, Accessory, Crank, Retained Accessory Power, or Off) is active.

On vehicles that have several control modules connected by serial data circuits, one module is the power mode master (PMM). On this vehicle, the PMM is the body control module (BCM). The PMM receives 3 discrete ignition switch signals to differentiate which power mode will be sent over the Serial Data circuits.

How do i disable high beams on a 2006 pontiac grand prix

You find a wiring diagram for the headlight system for an '06 grand prix, and then you get into the maze of wiring for this vehicle. It isn't like the old times when you had a headlight switch with a built-in circuit breaker, a dimmer switch, and the headlight bulbs, maybe a fuse for parks, sometimes a relay in the circuit, but it was simple and easy to figure out. Nowadays, your GP will certainly have a Body Control Module that controls the lighting. There may also be a lighting control module, or not, depending on the capabilities of the BCM. And there could also be a Daytime Running Lights module, which just makes it just a LITTLE bit more complicated, every day.

I know because my son's '05 Buick century has this very intermittent problem of the headlights disappearing for seconds at a time, and once for days at a time. So he ran over a bump and the headlights just began working again as if nothing wrong. And now for about 10 days, there has not been a repeat. But when it happens again, I will have to get my head back into the dreaded headlight circuit !

Now why would you want to disable the high beams, even as a temporary measure?

What does the front control module look like?

Lightening that close probably fried everything. ECM,BCM,injectors, coils, ignition control module and more. I did an 05 grand prix that was welded on the exhaust. They hooked the ground to the on the body instead of the exhaust and fried everything in the car. The only way to check is to take the modules apart and look for burnt PC boards. Hand held computers wont read them, because they are burnt.

2004 grand marquis airbag code 21. need trobleshooting info.where is control module mounted?

You do not want to be messing with airbags unless you are well trained with them. You have a resistance problem indicting an airbag fault on the passenger side from what info I could find. That indicates in a crash that that airbag will not be functioning properly or at all. Find a professional as airbags are very dangerous if you do not know what you are doing.

2001 pontiac grand am air bag module reset

Yes!!! You can replace it yourself.(Dont let others fool you into paying extra or telling you otherwise.)
-This is for pontiac grand ams 1999-2005 only.
-There are no frontal airbag impact sensors nor are there belt tensioners.
-The SRS system consists of only the (driver airbag) ,(passanger airbag),and the (airbag control module) in 1999-2005 grand ams.

If you crash/wrecked and airbags deployed you will need.
-Driver and Passanger airbags
-Airbag control module

You can buy cheap airbags from a local junkyard any year from 1999-2005 will fit.
You can also find an airbag control module for cheap at your local junk yard BUT YOU MUST FIND ONE WITH THE SAME (PART NO.) AND (SERV NO.) AS THE ONE YOUR REPLACING.The (part no.) and (serv no.) should be at top left of airbag control module. However it does (Not) have to match numbers under barcode or the numbers at the far bottom right of airbag control module.

After you get both airbags and airbag module
-Disconnect car Battery
-Replace airbags
-Replace airbag module (under passanger seat)
-Double check all connections and connect battery.

Congradulations!Your airbags should be back online.

Notes: Two torx 35 head screws hold the driver airbag, access is through two holes behind steering column.
To remove passanger airbag you have to remove glovebox it uses (7mm)screws.After you remove you will see a pair of (10mm)screws holding airbag.
To remove airbag control module First remove passanger seat 2(15mm).Then after removing you will notice a raises area kinda like a vertical bump.Take a razor blade to your carpet and cut it to explose the module underneath.
The airbag module is held by three screws depending on the year of your car it varies. Most likely 3 (10mm).

Problem with 2005 gran prix gtp

Well, since the transmission in your vehicle is computer-controlled, I think the FIRST step in diagnosing the problem should be to ask the Powertrain Control Module what is going on.
