What is the clearance of the valve of a mitsubichi lancer oz rally 2002

The clearance, or gap, of the valves on a 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer OZ Rally is the distance between the valve and the valve seat when the valve is in the closed position. The clearance is typically specified by the manufacturer and is measured in thousandths of an inch.
To determine the valve clearance for your Lancer OZ Rally, you will need to refer to the manufacturer's specifications or service manual for your specific model. The valve clearance may vary depending on the type of engine and the specific application of the vehicle.
It is important to maintain the correct valve clearance on your Lancer OZ Rally to ensure that the engine operates efficiently and effectively. If the valve clearance is not within the specified range, it may cause problems such as reduced engine performance, increased fuel consumption, and increased emissions.
To adjust the valve clearance, you will need to remove the valve cover and use a feeler gauge to measure the gap between the valve and the valve seat. If the gap is not within the specified range, you will need to use a wrench to adjust the clearance by turning the adjustment screw on the rocker's arm. It is recommended that you have the valve clearance adjusted by a qualified mechanic if you are not familiar with this process.

Hi there im looking for a firing digram of a hyundai H100 1998 model. I did the engen overall and timing is correct but its smocking and lacking of power

if it is idling and not missing , the firing order is right
check the ignition timing --should be 10 degrees btdc at idle
smoking can be from rings installed up side down on the pistons, ring gaps excessive or broken rings during installation of pistons, excessive bearing clearance( (clearance not measured during assembly) , valve stem seals not correctly installed
Lack of power could be from valve timing solenoid not controlling the timing from wir not connected

What is the valve clearance of nissan caravan

Valve lash is the end of the rocker arm and the valve stem clearance between. When the engine is running, due to the thermal expansion and contraction, if there is no gap between the rocker arm and the valve stem, rocker arm swells, the top valve open, the impact of engine power and economy. Engine valve clearance will be different, usually when the car is cold, the intake valve 0.08-0.10MM, clearance exhaust valves 0.10-0.12MM Car Diagnostic Tool

I'm looking for the Toyota corrola 1.6 4AF engine valve clearance

will need a micrometer, valve clearance adjustment tool set for shimmed lifters, small magnetic arm, appropriate shim selecting charts (manufacturer will have this if you can get the nec. measurements).
Measure thickness of shims removed (using micrometer) and use this formula where T=Thickness of old shim; A=Valve clearance measured; N=Thickness of new shim required.
Intake valves: N = T + (A - 0.02 mm (0.008 in.)) Exh. valves: N = T + (A - 0.25 mm (0.010 in.))
Then you need to find shims as close as possible to the calculated values.
Valve clearances (cold) are as follows: Intake0.15 - 0.25 mm (0.006 - 0.010 in.) Exhaust0.20 - 0.30 mm (0.008 - 0.012 in.)
Note, if you are not familiar with precision measuring using a micrometer, this may be better left to a trained tech. These are high revving little power plants and you don't want a problem at 8K rpm.

REMOVAL

  1. Remove front cover.
  2. Remove oil filter adapter, pressure regulator valve and spring.
Fig. 16 Oil Pump & Housing 42162079

  1. Remove oil pump cover attaching screws, then the cover and gears, Fig. 16 .
INSPECTION

  1. Check pump cover and housing for cracks, scoring, porous or damaged casting, damaged threads or excessive wear or galling. Replace as required.
  2. Check pressure regulator valve for scoring, burrs or sticking in valve bore. Replace as required.
  3. Check pressure regulator valve spring for tension loss or bending, replace spring as required.
  4. Check gears for chipping galling or excessive wear, replace as required.
Fig. 17 Oil Pump Inner Gear Tip Clearance Inspection 42162080

  1. Measure oil pump inner gear tip clearance, Fig. 17 . Maximum clearance should be 0.006 inch.
Fig. 18 Oil Pump Outer Gear Diameter Clearance Inspection 42162081

  1. Measure oil pump outer gear diameter clearance, Fig. 18 . Clearance should be 0.008-0.015 inch.

  1. Measure oil pump gear end clearance with gear dropped in housing, FIG 19. Clearance should be 0.0010-0.0035 inch.
  2. Measure pressure regulator valve for valve to bore clearance of 0.0015-0.003 inch.
INSTALLATION

  1. Lubricate all gears with clean motor oil, then install gears in housing.
  2. Pack pump cavity with suitable petroleum jelly.
  3. Install pump cover and cover attaching screws. Tighten cover attaching screws to specifications.
  4. Install pressure regulator valve and spring.
  5. Install oil filter adapter using a new gasket, tighten oil filter adapter attaching bolts to specifications.
  6. Install front cover on engine. During front cover installation, ensure inner pump gear is properly engaged on crankshaft sprocket.

Overhead valves making noise like they need ajusting

Valve Lash ADJUSTMENT 1.6L Engines NOTE: Measure valve clearance with the engine cold.
  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section.
  2. Remove the valve cover.
  3. Set the engine to Top Dead Center (TDC) of the compression stroke for the cylinder to be adjusted.
  4. Check the valve clearance. The valve clearance specifications are as follows:
    • Intake valves: 0.005-0.007 inches (0.13-0.17mm)
    • Exhaust valves: 0.005-0.007 inches (0.13-0.17mm)
  5. After adjustment, tighten the locknuts to 11-14 ft. lbs. (15-19 Nm).
  6. Repeat for each valve to be adjusted.
1.8L, 2.0L and 2.5L Engines The 1.8L, 2.0L and 2.5L engines utilize automatic hydraulic lash adjusters to maintain proper valve lash at all times. Periodic valve lash inspection and adjustment is not necessary or possible. prev.gif next.gif

What is the piston ring gap clearance for the ford laser

Which Piston Ring Gap? First of all you need to purchase a Hayne's Manual for your car. It will give you the specifications under the Engine section of the book. The piston has three rings on it. From the top you have your first compression ring, then your second compression ring (these "clearance" specifications or "gap"), should be the same as measured on the piston insofar as the clearance between the "lands and grooves" or between the ring and the piston groove. The third ring is your oil control ring which will have a different clearance between (for example), the top of the ring installed and the piston's groove. Then lastly, you need to place the compression rings and place them in the bore of the cylinder WITHOUT being installed on the piston. A measurement is then taken between the opening gap of the ring while in the block. To make sure it's lined up properly, invert a non-ringed piston down into the bore from the top to make sure the ring is installed at the same depth all the way around.

If you don't want to buy the Hayne's Manual, just stop by your local Dealership and get the Specifications for the two compression rings, the oil ring and the "installed" clearance or gap on the rings.

Hope this Helps,

~00 Buck~
