2006 lincoln ls with po406 code - 2004 Lincoln LS

Any lights lit on the instrument cluster ? Check engine , wrench symbol , ETC light ? Have you had it check for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes ? That's the first thing that should be do ! Also have sensor data scanned , if your not familiar with these thing's suggest you take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop . ! Don't waste money just replacing parts !

Possible causes P406 include EGR Valve clogged, dirty or leaky
- EGR valve damaged/defective
- EGR volume control solenoid valve
- EGR temperature sensor and circuit
- EGR volume control solenoid valve harness is open or shorted
- EGR volume control solenoid valve circuit poor electrical connection
Possible causes P0108 - Faulty Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor
- Manifold Absolute Pressure harness is open or shorted
- Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor circuit poor electrical connection
- Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM)

Main Relay ?

We need to know the vehicles problems in detail,
to offer a suggestion.

I have a 2004 LS V8 & all the manuals,
so be specific,there is no main relay

The Lincoln LS was made for 7 years
2000 thru 2006

I have a 2004 LS and all the factory manuals &
have been at this for 50 years & don't believe
that the electronic parking system goes on
by it'self,but would like to hear more detail

Are you sure your not having ABS motor or pump
hcu unit issues

The po406 is an egr code which is common for a bad egr valve, but check your wiring and check for plugged port or carbon lodged in valve, as far as the p1561 this is not a good code, this must of been gotten with a genric scan tool, i would fix the po406 and then reset the computer readiness monitors and drive it and go from there. hope this helps, good luck

The reset is locking the doors with the key fob or key.

That is instructions for an older model. I'm going to change the filter either today or tomorrow on my '05 LS. If I find out anything else when I install mine, I'll let ya know.

you probably have a vacuum leak. check all your hoses pcv hose for sure. it means the engine is seeing too much air with the fuel.
